About Daria
My name is Daria Ozerova and I am an artist. I was born in 1971 in Moscow in an artistic family. Both my father and grandfather were artists and I was raised in a creative atmosphere that primarily determined the choice of my future career. My father often took me to plein air sessions and organized my first personal art show when I was 10. It was at that time that he created my logo consisting of two letters representing the first letters of my first and my last name.

In 1986 I became a student of Stroganov Design & Decorative Art College and graduated with honors in 1992. Shortly upon graduation I started working as a book graphics artist illustrating works of contemporary authors and classical Russian writers. Around the same time I also worked as an illustrator at a monthly magazine New Home.

Professional painter
In 1995 I became a member of International Federation of Artists and have been a member of the Russian Artists Union since 2000. Admissions to these significant organizations manifested recognition of my talent and artistic skills by both my associates and art experts.
The end of the nineties and the beginning of the twenties were the years of creative endeavors when I was experimenting with different techniques and materials searching for my unique style. I was interested in book graphics and decorative art. Artworks with symbolic images and hidden messages emerged during this period.

Starting with 2010 the main focus of my creative activity shifted to watercolor painting; however, the watercolors retained the recognizable unique style previously developed in book graphics. While being decorative my watercolors carry deep meaning and are full of symbolic images.

I try to create artworks that would attract a wide range of people and at the same time they would not loose their deep meaning. My works could be classified as several art trends including Symbolism and Conceptualism. They depict multiple symbolic images that stimulate viewers to think about hidden messages and ideas. The viewer feels as if the pictures ‘talk’ to them communicating the artist’s messages. My goal is to create bright and memorable works that emotionally appeal to viewers and provoke their thoughts and reflections.

My artworks were exhibited in Moscow and other Russian cities as well as in Italy. Some works were donated to regional art galleries and some were obtained by private collectors.
I lived and worked in Moscow up until 2022 when I moved to Italy. I hope that my artwork will inspire people and stimulate their thoughts about life, love, and internal values.
