Some thoughts provoked by ONE AND ONLY YOU poem by James T. Moore
I was sorting some old papers, organizing them and discarding loads of stuff that no longer serves me in any way. After avoiding this task for quite some time, accomplishing a great deal made me feel quite happy with myself.
And that's when my eyes were drawn to a page, printed who-knows-when in the past. I found the poem One And Only You by James T. Moore (below) to be a great reminder of (every)one's worthiness and the fact that well-being actually abounds. If only we keep in mind that it all starts with a great, inspiring, uplifting idea, and materializes with an unyielding faith of a wonderful, unlimited human being!
One And Only You
by James T. Moore
Every single blade of grass
And every flake of snow-
Is just a wee bit different…
There’s no two alike, you know.
From something small, like grains of sand,
To each gigantic star
All were made with THIS is mind:
To be just what they are!
How foolish then, to imitate-
How useless to pretend!
Since each of us comes from a MIND
Whose ideas never end.
There’ll only be just ONE of ME
To show what I can do –
And you should likewise feel very proud,
There’s only ONE of YOU.
That is where it all starts
With you, a wonderful
unlimited human being.
